I have conducted multiple research on it including chronic disease such as Alzheimer’s disease. Hi! My name is Zoe Xue, and I am a high school junior in Texas. I joined NeuroVista because I want to apply my passion for mental health and psychology through impactful research in computational psychology. I hope to develop tools using my research to better analyze and support mental health. My interest in psychology sparked when I experienced a psychiatrist at work, analyzing my past experiences and feelings to explain mental phenomena, which prompted me to explore ways to improve psychological analysis. At NeuroVista, I write articles on psychological analysis, promoting awareness and new possibilities, and discussing applications of AI and computational modeling in psychology.

My interest in neuroscience sparked after I heard a podcast on the brain and was fascinated by how neural processes shape thoughts and behaviors. This curiosity took me further into psychology, especially with my involvement in HOSA, where I have focused on behavioral health. My interest in neuroscience sparked when I began exploring how brain development influences behavior and health, especially during adolescence. At NeuroVista, I am conducting research on the effects of sleep deprivation on adolescent cognitive performance. I have worked on refining research questions, conducting literature reviews, and designing experimental studies. Through NeuroVista, I aim to deepen my understanding of neuroscience, contribute meaningful research, and prepare for a future career in medicine.

Hi! I’m Kashvi, a ninth grader from California who has always had an intense love for science, especially neuroscience, cardiology, and oncology. I came to NeuroVista because I’m interested in the way the brain and the body communicate and how small changes in the nervous system can affect everything from how happy we are to our overall health. I hope to be able to become a doctor one day, maybe even specializing in oncology or cardiology, and help a lot of people through research and real-life care. At NeuroVista, I look forward to developing as a student researcher and to contributing to projects that bring attention to mental and physical health.

Hi! I’m Sahana, a high school senior from the United Arab Emirates. At NeuroVista, I’m researching the cognitive and neurological effects of Carnatic music (South Indian classical music), known for its complex melodies and rhythms. My work looks at how different ragas affect brain areas involved in memory, emotion, and pattern recognition, and how listening to them might help with emotional regulation, disease prevention, and focus. I’m also exploring how some people experience synesthesia, and how the color patterns they see might be linked to the mathematical patterns in the arohana–avarohana scales of each raga.
